Welcome

Genesi designs, develops and produces computing products that bring ARM™ and Power Architecture™ technology to the desktop, home entertainment, netcom, low-end server and pervasive market segments at an affordable price.

Genesi has extended the IEEE 1275 Firmware standard with a hardware abstraction layer that speeds up time to market for new ARM™ and Power Architecture™ products. Included in the abstraction layer is an x86 emulator, which allows standard PC graphics cores or components to be used with ARM™ and Power™.

The Open Client, based on the energy efficient and versatile EFIKA 5200B design, and its predecessor, the Open Desktop Workstation, based on the PegasosPPC design, are supported by the GNU/Linux and OpenSolaris communities, as well as a number of specialized operating systems, including MorphOS. Equally extensive software support for the latest Efika MX range of products is currently in development.

The speed at which ARM™ and Power Architecture™ products can be brought up using the company's Firmware to offer a broad suite of operating systems and applications, is a primary value that Genesi and its affiliate bplan provide their partners and customers.
